In this newly established role, you will report directly to the Head of Government Relations & External Affairs while leading policy initiatives that directly influence Canada's digital economy. Your task involves coordinating efforts across teams, ensuring that regulatory frameworks align with business objectives. With a history of advising senior executives and understanding complex policy landscapes, your guidance will be invaluable.
Key Responsibilities:
• Draft and guide major policy submissions and consultations
• Analyze legislative changes and their business impact
• Represent Interac in industry discussions and initiatives
• Oversee relationships with governmental and public sector stakeholders
• Develop materials for senior leadership decision-making
Requirements:
• Degree in relevant fields such as political science or law
• 10+ years in policy, regulatory, or government roles
• Excellent written communication for governmental audiences
• Knowledge of financial services and regulatory processes
• Ability to handle sensitive, high-stakes interactions
