Elmwood Spa is proud of our rich heritage as Toronto’s Leading Day Spa. With 34 treatment rooms, 4 floors of amenities, Juice Bar, 2 Restaurants, licensed Mani-Pedi Lounge, Water Therapies (Swimming Pool, Whirlpool & Steam Rooms) and over 150 staff that we have been pampering and providing well-being for our guests for over 40 years.

Provide aesthetic services as listed in the Elmwood Spa/elmspa brochures. Execute duties listed below in an efficient, timely manner and according to company policies, procedures and standards. Ensure that our valuable Spa Guests are treated and regarded as our first priority at all times. Understand the importance of and promote the Company’s Mission, Vision & Values, concurrently completing tasks as assigned and according to Company’s policy and procedures in order to achieve company goals.

• Provide aesthetic services according to Elmwood Spa treatment protocols including manicures, pedicures, facials, waxing, body treatments and make up. Must be able to perform services in a timely manner according to protocols ensuring consistency.
• Actively promote retail sales through educating, recommending and up-selling products to our guests towards a goal/minimum of 30% retail to service ratio.
• Contribute to and strive to achieve our objective of creating and offering a seamless, “magical” experience for every guest by anticipating needs and delivering warm and sincere hospitality.
• Explain benefits of treatment series and encourage return visits as part of ongoing care.
• Must maintain flexibility while remaining punctual and committed to work schedules at all times.
• Must be able to work with high volumes and under stress while maintaining a positive and calm attitude with guests.
• Attend seminars and training designed to facilitate your development as a spa care expert and a leader in your field as scheduled incorporating learning into your role.
• Responsible for leaving the aesthetics rooms and manicure/pedicure stations spotless and tidy, returning all equipment to its proper place.
• Must present a positive and polished image at all times as outlined in the competencies and Personal Appearance policy.
• Perform other duties, co‑operate with, and assist in other departments, including Housekeeping, when services are not scheduled.
• Must advise Manager/Spa Supervisor/Snr. Manager Spa Services of any challenges and/or issues immediately with respect to guests or equipment. If Spa service Managers are not on site, please advise the Duty Manager or MOD of your concerns.
• Escort guest to where they should wait for next service provider or walk guest to the elevator directing the guest to the next floor.
• Assist in retail and with supplies and products if directed and available.
• Provide support to other staff members whenever the opportunity presents itself and is appropriate.
• Attend and contribute at regularly scheduled Department Meetings.
• Must understand and achieve company targets related to guest retention, ratio of sales to service, productivity, etc.
• Assist with other duties as reasonably assigned by management from time to time

• Must be a certified Aesthetician by trade from a reputable aesthetics institute.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the aesthetics industry required.
• Laser treatment experience and body treatment experience would be considered an asset.
• Strong commitment to ensuring guest satisfaction and guest retention.
• Previous sales experience is an asset.
• Demonstrated strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.
• This is a Part-Time position, and candidates must be available to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
