Schedule Conditions: This position is a recurring position which may follow one of the following schedule conditions:

• Start on August 31, 2026, to the last week of June 2027; off with a return the last week of August to the last week of June.
  Specific dates will relate to academic calendar dates and may vary to meet operational needs.
• Start on August 4, 2026, to the last week of April 2027; off with a return the first week of July to the last week of April.
  Specific dates will relate to academic calendar dates and may vary to meet operational needs.

Reporting to the Spa Program Manager, the Spa Lab Technologist provides support in the delivery of academic programming, including the experiential work experience of The Humber Spa, for the Esthetician & Spa Management Diploma program.

Responsibilities include:

• Incorporating previously taught theory by faculty, and demonstration of esthetic techniques, protocols and procedures.
• Guiding students in acquiring the practical skills set out in the course curriculum.
• Overseeing student participation and attendance in in‑person practical classes; monitoring performance and providing support to ensure program learning outcomes are achieved.
• Assisting with student assessments, providing input on their progress, and documenting the student progress of practical skills.
• Supporting the Humber Spa Experiential Lab 1 and 2; guiding students as they work within the Spa Operations, Client Care, and providing Treatments.
• Ensuring Health & Safety and IPAC requirements are followed within the lab and The Humber Spa; appropriate use of professional inventory, care and use of professional equipment by students.

The successful candidate will hold a two (2) year diploma from a recognized educational institution in the area of Esthetics, Medical Esthetics, Spa Management or Registered Nurse Practitioner.

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a professional esthetician in a full-service day, resort, destination spa or medi-spa.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a lead or senior esthetician within a full-service day spa, or medi-spa.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in spa operations as a spa supervisor or management role in a full-service day spa, destination or medi-spa.
• Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety requirements and IPAC in personal service settings.
• Expert practical skills relating to advanced facial, body, hand and foot care, and personal care skills; and exceptional service standards in treatment delivery and client care.
• Work collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, demonstrating cultural awareness, professionalism, and effective communication.
• High degree of attention and focus to detail.
• Advanced Waxing or Brazilian Waxing Certification;
  Shellac Certification;
  Micro needling, RF Certification and Advanced Facial Techniques, etc.
• Additional skills:
  Podologist Certification, Full Body Therapist Certification;
  Reiki Master;
  Reflexology;
  Advanced Laser Therapy;
  Laser Certification for Estheticians;
  Medical Laser Practitioner. Advanced Medical Aesthetics, etc.
