Work SettingBarbershop or hairstyling salon/studio. Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Responsibilities- Book appointments
- Shampoo customers' hair
- Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair
- Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair
- Suggest hair style compatible with client's physical features and preferences
- Perform receptionist duties
- Maintain and order supplies
- Hairstylist Licence
Hair styling techniques:
- Blow drying
- Hair braiding
- Iron waving/curling
- Permanents
- Roller setting
- Bleach
- Dyes/tints
- Streaking/highlights
Work conditions and physical capabilities:
- Fast-paced environment
- Repetitive tasks
- Manual dexterity
- Attention to detail
- Hand-eye co-ordination
- Combination of sitting, standing, walking
- Standing for extended periods
