Summary of DutiesWorking with the professional team, the Patient Service Partner participates in the care of patients by providing a variety of support services to the team and patients; participates as a member of the team in a manner that reflects the Hospital philosophy and mission of service; and promotes and maintains good public relations with patients, visitors and Hospital staff.
Qualifications/Skills- Minimum Grade 11 or equivalent as recognized by the Province of Ontario Ministry of Education
- PSW Certificate and completed the Sunnybrook PSP (formerly PSA) course required
- Must possess a Food Handler’s Certificate
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
- Experience as a PSP at SHSC preferred
- Must possess an Infection Control Core Competency Certificate
- Ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Previous experience working with the elderly required
- Personnel Support Worker Diploma preferred
- Entry level
