Boomerang Health, powered by Sick Kids, is a multidisciplinary paediatric clinic, independent but wholly owned by The Hospital for Sick Children (Sick Kids). Sick Kids opened Boomerang Health in April 2013, a 10,000 sq. ft. healthcare centre in Vaughan, to provide the York Region community and beyond, with greater access to community-based services for children and adolescents. Job Summary

Hiring for both part-time/full-time positions

Provides comprehensive speech and language assessments and intervention to children with a variety of communication needs

Follows evidence-based approaches to assessment and treatment

Manages a varied caseload and meets required timelines

Maintains complete and accurate medical records using Electronic Medical Record system

Communicates effectively and maintains relationships with referring physicians, healthcare providers and other relevant community stakeholders

Provides education and feedback to families

Other duties as required

Qualifications

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, with experience in paediatric assessment/treatment

Registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario

Experience/Skills

New graduates are welcome to apply

CASLPO mentorship provided, as needed

Strong proficiency in assessment and evidence-based speech language therapy interventions with children

Experience with virtual platforms is an asset

Proven ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team

Requires excellent oral and written communication skills in English

Utilizes critical thinking and problem solving skills

Efficient time management and organizational skills required
