Medical Imaging Specialist

Job Title: Functional Specialist - Case Management and ERP - Senior

Location: Toronto, ON

Duration: Contract

We are seeking a Senior Functional Specialist to serve as a subject matter expert supporting a provincial Enterprise Image Viewer (EIV) initiative and implementation planning for an Enterprise Imaging VNA (EI-VNA). This role will support large-scale medical imaging modernization efforts across Ontario’s health system.

• Provide SME expertise for provincial medical imaging initiatives (EIV & EI-VNA)
• Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, validation, and documentation
• Develop use cases, process flows, data models, and functional specifications
• Conduct gap-fit analysis and options assessments
• Support solution architecture planning and roadmap development
• Collaborate with clinical, technical, vendor, and stakeholder groups
• Support testing, site onboarding, integration design, and change management
• Ensure alignment with interoperability standards (HL7v2, FHIR, DICOM, IHE)

• 5+ years Demonstrated subject matter expertise in medical imaging technology and clinical workflows across “ologies” (e.g. Radiology, Cardiology, Digital Pathology, etc.).
• 5+ years Working knowledge of Clinical Viewers and specialized Medical Imaging Viewers.
• 5+ years Advanced knowledge of clinical and medical imaging systems used in medical imaging environments (e.g. HIS, RIS, EMR, PACS, VNA, CDR, Image Broker, Integration Engine).
