Position Summary

We are seeking a qualified and passionate instructor to lead our Falls Prevention class. This program supports individuals experiencing challenges with balance and mobility through targeted exercises designed to improve stability, increase confidence, and reduce the risk of falls.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead a safe, engaging, and progressive 55‑minute Falls Prevention class
  • Provide clear demonstrations and appropriate modifications
  • Monitor participant safety and ensure proper technique
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive class environment
  • Track attendance and communicate participant concerns
  • Maintain required certifications and follow MNjcc policies and safety standards
Qualifications
  • Certification in Group Fitness, Personal Training, Kinesiology, Physiotherapy Assistant, or related field
  • Experience working with older adults or individuals with mobility challenges (preferred)
  • Knowledge of balance training, functional movement, and fall prevention strategies
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
