Position: Registered Nurse for Emergency Services

Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, the Registered Nurse will provide assessment, intervention, and education for Emergency patients and their families. The role demands a commitment to the Philosophy of Person-Focused Care and requires strong interpersonal skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Recent emergency experience is essential for addressing complex patient needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and manage Emergency and Trauma patient care

• Collaborate with medical teams for enhanced patient outcomes

• Educate families about care procedures and expectations

• Act as an advocate for patients throughout their care

• Commit to ongoing learning and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• Must hold a current registration with the Ontario College of Nurses

• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred

• Two years of recent Emergency Department experience

• Certifications in A.C.L.S. and B.C.L.S. required

• Proven critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
