As a Senior Activity Aid, your responsibilities include planning and delivering unique recreational programs while ensuring appropriate assistive devices are available for residents. You’ll also play a key role in communication with families and evaluation of program effectiveness. Collaboration with community agencies will be crucial in delivering comprehensive support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate records and track participation
• Develop engaging recreational programs based on assessments
• Plan community-based outings and special events
• Adapt programs as needed based on feedback
• Ensure access to necessary assistive devices
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in recreation or related fields
• Prior experience with seniors and program planning
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications
• Required Vulnerable Sector Check and TB testing
