Specimen Collection Technician Part Time

Take on a rewarding role as a Part Time Specimen Collection Technician. You’ll engage with patients throughout the specimen collection process, making a difference in their healthcare experience.

In this critical position, you will perform essential tasks such as greeting patients, collecting specimens, and conducting ECG tracings. The role requires flexibility to work various shifts, ensuring you can adapt to the operational needs of nearby Patient Service Centers. You'll build meaningful relationships with clients while maintaining high standards of care and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome patients and explain the collection process

• Conduct phlebotomies and special test collections

• Maintain clear documentation for all specimen collections

• Cultivate client relationships and address their inquiries

• Prepare specimens accurately for transportation

Requirements:

• Graduate from an approved Laboratory Assistant program preferred

• Phlebotomy experience and ECG training advantageous

• Strong communication skills with 40 wpm typing

• Excellent patient service and empathy

• Commitment to patient and data confidentiality
