Join our St. John's home care center as a Personal Care Assistant. Provide critical daily living assistance and contribute to the well-being of residents.
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will focus on personalized care for each resident. This position requires collaboration with Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses to carry out individual care plans effectively. Responsibilities encompass assisting with bathing, feeding, and facilitating recreational activities for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support residents with their daily living tasks, ensuring comfort
• Assist with personal hygiene and feeding as necessary
• Coordinate recreational activities to enhance resident engagement
• Follow guidance from nursing staff for care coordination
• Uphold safety and comfort standards in daily care
Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited Personal Care Attendant Program
• 2–3 years working in personal care settings
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Good physical health for caregiving tasks
