This temporary part-time position includes working flexible hours at our Wilson Site. Responsibilities encompass performing orthopedic interventions, supporting surgical teams, and educating patients on their treatments. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and adapt patient care plans, ensuring optimal recovery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute casting, splinting, and orthopedic interventions safely
• Assist in surgeries and manage surgical environments
• Document and assess patients’ orthopedic care plans
• Educate patients on follow-up care and treatment
• Maintain inventory and ensure safety protocols are followed
Requirements:
• Current registration with the Canadian Society of Orthopaedic Technologists
• Minimum of 3 years experience as an Orthopaedic Technologist
• Graduate from an accredited program or equivalent background
• BCLS certification required
• Understanding of diversity and equity in health settings
