Join The Hospital for Sick Children as a full-time Biomedical Engineering Technologist I. You will enhance pediatric healthcare through expert equipment management.
As part of Sick Kids, you will play a critical role in the medical equipment management program, focusing on the maintenance and repair of essential devices. You will address clinical challenges and ensure preventive maintenance, contributing directly to patient safety and operational excellence.
Your role will support Sick Kids’ commitment to innovation and quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Repair medical equipment at the component level
• Assist during clinical emergencies at the bedside
• Execute preventive maintenance on care equipment
• Maintain documented records in accordance with practices
• Participate in departmental initiatives for improvement
Requirements:
• Three-year college diploma in Biomedical Engineering
• One year of postgraduate training in the field
• Certification as a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET)
• Proficient in electronics and troubleshooting
• Strong commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
