Position: Occupational/Physiotherapy Assistant Role
Join UHN as a Certified Occupational and Physiotherapy Assistant, providing essential support in rehabilitation at Toronto's leading hospital. This full-time position emphasizes patient treatment and program involvement.

In the spinal cord rehabilitation department at UHN, you will assist in individualized treatment under the direction of Professional Therapists. Engage with patients during group exercises, guide them in using therapeutic and adaptive equipment, and actively contribute to new therapy initiatives. Emphasizing patient care, your role will include reporting health status changes and maintaining treatment areas efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with individual and group patient treatment programs

• Conduct sessions using therapeutic equipment safely

• Implement new therapy programs and research projects

• Monitor changes in health to report accurately

• Maintain treatment areas for optimal use

Requirements:

• Successful completion of OTA/PTA program

• Knowledge of wheelchairs and therapeutic tools

• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

• Prior experience in neurological rehabilitation is an asset
