Make a difference in healthcare as an Occupational Therapist at Humber River Health in North West Toronto. Enhance patient recovery and independence through expert evaluation and treatment in both acute and post-acute care settings.
As a valued member of the Allied Health team, you'll provide comprehensive therapy services, conduct assessments, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Your role includes working with diverse patient populations and contributing to discharge planning, all while promoting inclusivity in healthcare practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide Occupational Therapy services to Medicine and Surgery patients
• Conduct appropriate assessments and treatments for referred patients
• Document patient assessment, progress, and discharge plans
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for discharge planning
• Supervise Rehabilitation Assistants and therapy students
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
• Experience in acute care settings preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel between multiple locations if necessary
