Join Humber River Health as a Part-Time Dialysis Assistant, where you will support patients in the Nephrology Program. This permanent role involves assisting with dialysis treatments seven days a week.
As a Dialysis Assistant, your responsibilities will include the setup and operation of dialysis machines while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Candidates should possess two years of dialysis experience and be familiar with medical terminology and aseptic techniques. Your work will include maintaining equipment, transporting patients, and managing dialysis supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and prime dialysis machines for treatment
• Clean and maintain equipment between patient treatments
• Transport patients to dialysis stations as required
• Organize and track home dialysis supplies
• Follow up with home patients regarding supplies
Requirements:
• Minimum of high school diploma required
• Two years' experience in dialysis setting required
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to understand complex equipment operations
• Capacity to manage physical demands of the role
