As part of UHN's Allied Health team, this permanent position requires proficient skills in respiratory therapy across various settings including ICUs and Emergency Departments. Ideal candidates possess strong airway management abilities, experience with diagnostic tests, and effective communication skills. Key Responsibilities:
• Respond to cardiac and respiratory emergencies swiftly
• Administer aerosolized and MDI specialty medications
• Assist in bronchoscopies under departmental protocols
• Educate patients on respiratory therapy equipment
• Collaborate with healthcare team members in critical care
Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Experience in Adult Critical Care preferred
• Registration with Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists
• Registered with Ontario's College of Respiratory Therapists
• Ability to function independently under pressure
