Part-Time Addiction Worker Position

Join St. Michael's Homes as a part-time Addiction Worker in the Bed-Based Treatment Program. Support individuals in recovery with counseling, crisis management, and community liaison skills.

This position addresses the needs of clients facing addiction and mental health issues. As a key team member, you will perform individual counseling, facilitate health promotion activities, and utilize EMHware for case documentation.

Your role also includes preparing programming materials and ensuring safety within the residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual counseling for clients in recovery

• Conduct brief interventions and health promotions

• Record case notes using EMHware software

• Liaise with community services and partners

• Monitor the residential environment and ensure safety

Requirements:

• Degree in related field or equivalent experience

• Experience in addictions work and counseling

• Knowledge of crisis management and de-escalation

• Understanding of trauma-informed care practices

• Proficiency in both French and English an asset
