This role offers the chance to implement culturally safe and wholistic care strategies tailored to patient needs.
You will play a crucial role in providing physiotherapy services within an interdisciplinary team. Your expertise will support First Nations, Inuit, and Métis clients, focusing on issues ranging from injury rehabilitation to pelvic floor dysfunction. Strong collaboration and clear communication with clients and providers are key components of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver culturally sensitive care to Indigenous populations
• Assess and treat a variety of physical ailments
• Demonstrate manual therapy techniques to enhance recovery
• Document patient interactions accurately and in a timely manner
• Partner with healthcare teams to improve service delivery
Requirements:
• Registered Physiotherapist in Ontario
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy
• Knowledge of Indigenous health perspectives
• Experience in trauma-informed care
• Proficient in EMR with at least 2 years' experience
