Enhance community health by joining Access Alliance as a Counsellor Therapist in Toronto. Focus on trauma-informed counseling for newcomers and play a vital role in client care coordination.
Access Alliance Multicultural Health and Community Services seeks a Counsellor Therapist. This full-time permanent role requires a Master's degree in social work and at least three years in clinical counseling. You will provide assessment, advocacy, and support to diverse clients facing various health and social issues while engaging with an interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide brief and ongoing trauma-informed counseling
• Coordinate client care through assessments and referrals
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary health services team
• Network with community organizations to address service gaps
• Advocate for client and community needs
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in social work
• Minimum 3 years of clinical counseling experience
• Familiarity with health promotion methods
• Excellent case management and crisis intervention skills
• Ability to work flexible hours across Toronto
