Personal Support Worker

Position: Personal Support Worker at LOFT Community Services
Make a difference in Toronto as a Personal Support Worker with LOFT Community Services. Provide compassionate care and support to clients with mental health and addiction challenges in a specialized assisted living setting.

As a Personal Support Worker (PSW), you will offer essential services to clients in our Specialized Assisted Living - Sherbourne program. Your expertise will focus on client care while assisting with daily living activities, medication protocols, and emotional support. This onsite role ensures the safety and well-being of clients in a 24/7 staffed environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate support for clients’ health and well-being

• Assist with personal care, hygiene, and meal preparation

• Build respectful relationships promoting dignity and participation

• Manage behavioral and cognitive challenges with guidance

• Maintain accurate care records and communicate with team

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Human Services or related field

• Experience with vulnerable populations and mental health

• Knowledge of health conditions and medication administration

• Current First Aid and CPR certification

• Valid Ontario Driver’s License preferred
