Counsellor​/Therapist at Shkaabe Makwa

Shkaabe Makwa, embedded in the CAMH framework, focuses on First Nations, Inuit, and Métis wellness through culturally-responsive initiatives. As a permanent Counsellor/Therapist 2, you will conduct assessments, facilitate therapeutic groups, and collaborate with other health professionals while helping clients navigate their care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct intake, assessment, and develop treatment plans

• Facilitate individual and group psychotherapy sessions

• Provide supportive counselling and case management

• Maintain accurate records aligned with care standards

• Engage in community outreach and program development

Requirements:

• Master's degree in psychotherapy or related field

• Minimum 3 years of direct clinical experience

• Registration with an appropriate regulatory body

• Knowledge of FNIM cultural practices and mental health

• Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends
