Contribute to patient wellness as a Rehabilitation Assistant at UHN’s Reactivation Care Centre in York, ON. This temporary part-time position focuses on hands-on patient assistance.

UHN, recognized globally for its research, seeks a Rehabilitation Assistant to provide crucial support in the Transitional Care Program. This role includes assisting with therapy plans, patient transport, and maintaining safety standards. Your interpersonal skills will be vital in training patients on equipment and helping them regain mobility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support patients with daily tasks and activities

• Assist therapists in executing treatment plans

• Aid in patient mobility and exercise routines

• Provide equipment modifications as necessary

• Teach patients and caregivers about device usage

Requirements:

• Certificate in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Assistance

• Knowledge of patient transfer techniques

• Strong organization and communication skills

• Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends

• Prior healthcare experience preferred
