Become an Occupational Therapist at Humber River Health, where technology meets compassionate care. Play a vital role in helping patients regain their independence and well-being.
As part of Humber River’s Allied Health team, you will provide comprehensive Occupational Therapy to patients in acute care and beyond. Your responsibilities will include assessing patient needs and executing evidence-based treatments, while collaborating on discharge planning with a focus on seamless transitions. Expect to work mainly at the Wilson site, with some coverage at Finch and Church, and adapt to weekday schedules and occasional weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver evaluations and treatments across various units
• Maintain detailed records of patient progress and discharges
• Collaborate to develop effective discharge plans
• Supervise Rehabilitation Assistants in practice
• Engage in interdisciplinary consultations as required
Requirements:
• Credentialed in Occupational Therapy and registered
• Experience in an acute healthcare environment is advantageous
• Excellent communicative and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated flexibility and resourcefulness in problem-solving
• Advocacy for equity, diversity, and inclusion in health
