Part-Time Personal Support Worker

Make an impact at UHN as a part-time Personal Support Worker focused on spinal cord rehabilitation. Your contributions will directly assist patients in their daily activities with a caring approach.

In this essential role, you will work as part of a dynamic interprofessional team. You will assist patients with everyday tasks, follow the pre-established care plan, and ensure patient safety through vigilant observation. Recording progress notes is an important aspect of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Aid patients with daily activities like lifts and transfers

• Carry out assigned tasks from RNs and RPNs

• Communicate effectively based on each patient’s care plan

• Document any unsafe conditions or patient behaviors

• Keep detailed patient records as required

Requirements:

• HSCPOA registration and BCLS certification required

• Experience in rehabilitation or acute care is a plus

• Capable of handling physical exertion in a healthcare setting

• Must adhere to UHN's attendance standards

• Training in behavioral management is valued
