Part Time Recreation Aide

Position: Part Time Recreation Aide at Extendicare
Support meaningful activities for residents as a Part Time Recreation Aide laborate closely with management to enrich the lives of seniors through engaging programming.

The Recreation Aide will work under the guidance of the Recreation Manager, assisting in designing and implementing valuable programs. This role requires excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to working with the elderly. Effective record-keeping and participation in team meetings are essential to ensure residents' needs are met and activities are tailored for their enjoyment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and implementing resident programs

• Maintain communication with residents, families, and staff

• Facilitate scheduled outings and daily activities

• Evaluate individual resident participation levels

• Uphold Extendicare's values and promote ethical care

Requirements:

• College diploma in Recreation or Gerontology

• Experience working with seniors

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

• Valid driver's license for resident transport

• Current Vulnerable Sector Check
