Laboratory Services Attendant

Contribute to environmental testing at PHO as a Laboratory Attendant 2 in Toronto. Provide essential laboratory services by handling medical samples and managing operations every day.

PHO is hiring two Laboratory Attendants for its Corporate Office and Toronto Laboratory. In this full-time role, you will log, sort, and transport specimens for testing. You’ll prepare media, process results, and maintain laboratory equipment while adhering to safety procedures and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Log, sort, and label specimens for testing

• Transport samples to the testing laboratory as needed

• Handle and prepare medical samples for examination

• Utilize PHO Laboratory Information System for data entry

• Maintain inventory and clean laboratory work areas

Requirements:

• Medical Laboratory Technician certification or equivalent

• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures

• Proficient in laboratory and computer systems

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Ability to handle medical and environmental samples
