Position: Extendicare Recreation Aide Position
Join Extendicare as a Recreation Aide and foster community through engaging programs for residents. This part-time role is perfect for those passionate about senior care and meaningful interaction.

In this role, the Recreation Aide will collaborate with the Recreation Manager to organize and implement activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities. Strong communication skills are crucial as you will maintain relationships with residents, families, and volunteers. You’ll actively participate in team meetings and help assess activity levels, ensuring the well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate to plan and implement resident activities

• Keep accurate department records related to participation

• Communicate effectively about upcoming events

• Prepare and evaluate daily recreational activities

• Uphold ethical standards in resident care

Requirements:

• Diploma in Recreation, Leisure Studies, or Gerontology

• Previous experience with seniors required

• Strong Microsoft Office skills

• Valid provincial driver's license for transporting residents

• Complete Vulnerable Sector Check required
