MLTC Health & Social Development Department is seeking a motivated individual to fill the full-time, permanent position of an Environmental Public Health Officer (EPHO). The EPHO develops, implements and maintains a comprehensive program designed to monitor and report on environmental health conditions amongst member First Nations.
Working in a team setting, the EPHO will provide public health inspection and surveillance services to the communities within Meadow Lake Tribal Council and make appropriate recommendations to Chief and Council on matters related to; drinking water supplies, housing, food safety, communicable disease, solid and liquid waste disposal.
Provide guidance and support to MLTC management and communities on matters related to environmental contaminants, emergency preparedness and other compliance issues.
Provide training and support to Water Quality Technicians.
Conduct Food Safety training.
