Dialysis Assistant

Become a pivotal part of Humber River Health as a Dialysis Assistant, contributing to patient care in the Nephrology Program. This part-time role operates through a flexible shift schedule.

This is an essential position for those with a passion for patient support in dialysis treatments. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years of experience in dialysis and a working knowledge of various dialysis machines. Responsibilities span preparing treatment areas, transporting patients, and ensuring the cleanliness of medical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare patient charts and dialysis machines for use

• Clean and sterilize equipment between uses

• Assist with transporting patients to treatment areas

• Record and manage inventory of dialysis supplies

• Communicate with vendors for supply orders

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent necessary

• At least two years of dialysis experience needed

• Knowledge of infection control and medical terminology

• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities

• Physically fit for lifting and extended periods on feet
