Enhance patient care as a Speech-Language Pathologist at UHN, specializing in communication and swallowing disorders among adults. This temporary full-time position thrives in a collaborative environment.
As a Speech-Language Pathologist within UHN's Transitional Care Program, you will conduct assessments and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Engage closely with a multi-professional team, participating in both clinical duties and educational initiatives to ensure quality care for complex cases.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide patient assessments and treatment for communication issues
• Engage in clinical rounds and quality improvement initiatives
• Participate in family care conferences to support decisions
• Conduct Videofluoroscopic Swallowing Studies for patient evaluation
• Review patient histories to inform care strategies
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
• Valid registration with CASLPO
• 2 years of experience in an acute care environment preferred
• Strong communication skills and team collaboration experience
• Ability to thrive under stress and adapt quickly
