Position Summary
The Centre for Advancing Collaborative Healthcare & Education (CACHE) is a partnership between the University Health Network and the University of Toronto. This position interacts with the Centre team (especially the Research integration, Innovation, Scholarship, and Evaluation (RISE) and Curriculum portfolios) and educators, Scientists and researchers at The Institute for Education Research (TIER), and clinicians, students, and faculty internal and external to UHN.
Duties
- Oversees the coordination of a CIHR research study.
- Provides research coordination and administrative project coordination support.
- Plans/coordinates research team and other meetings that range from weeks to months in advance. Planning requires coordination and input from multiple groups. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): marketing, registration, technology, venue, prepares and distributes agenda/materials, sets up and attends all meetings, takes minutes, coordinates action items, and follows-up to ensure project deadlines and deliverables are met.
- Prepares, edits, and submits research ethics board (REB) applications.
- Plans, schedules, and coordinates interprofessional education electives (most of which may occur in the evening), including coordinating facilitators’ schedules and working with other team members (e.g. Curriculum Coordinator) to advertise on the Learner Management System (LMS), learner registration, provide learner information to the facilitators, etc.
- Recruits and explains studies to prospective participants, prepares consent forms, schedules study participants and obtains informed consent.
- Creates, disseminates, and collects research surveys and other data.
- Securely handles and manages study data and ensures appropriate regulations are adhered to in the conduct of research.
- Performs literature reviews.
- Perform cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the role, as assigned or requested.
Please note this role will includedaytimeandoccasional evenings. It is a1-year contract with strong possibility of extension.
QualificationsQualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (with at least 2 years related research experience).
- Computer and technological proficiency required (e.g. Zoom, Slack, website development skills, Microsoft Office, etc).
