Humber River Health is looking for a dedicated Infection Prevention and Control Coordinator for a part-time role. This position focuses on collaborating with congregate living settings to enhance infection control practices.
As a key member of the Infection Prevention and Control Hub Team, you will mentor staff in long-term care homes and shelters, ensuring best practices in infection control. Your expertise in public health will inform outbreak management, educational training, and program development tailored to various settings, enhancing their IPAC capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Mentor and coach within congregate living settings
• Assist in outbreak management planning and controls
• Deliver essential training on infection control practices
• Collaborate on developing IPAC programs and policies
• Conduct IPAC assessments and provide actionable feedback
Requirements:
• Valid driver's license for site travel
• Degree in Public Health or related field
• Ontario registration as a regulated healthcare professional
• Current Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred
• Two years of IPAC experience is preferred
