Position: Part-Time Certified Activity Aide at Extendicare
Enhance residents' lives as a part-time Certified Activity Aide with Extendicare. This role involves planning and evaluating activation programs, working with both individual and group activities.

Extendicare is looking for a part-time Certified Activity Aide for their long-term care facilities. You will plan and implement programs tailored to residents' needs, ensuring a safe environment. The position also requires documenting resident participation and collaborating with various departments to meet each resident's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and evaluate individual and group activation programs

• Set up and clean activity areas for programs

• Transport and monitor residents during activities

• Maintain accurate resident and program records

• Collaborate with other departments to meet resident needs

Requirements:

• Approved Activation or Gerontology Diploma or Degree required

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Experience in program planning and evaluation

• Knowledge of geriatric care, especially for cognitive impairments

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
