Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of various massage techniques and be dedicated to providing exceptional care to clients. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service, ensuring that each client feels valued and understood during their therapeutic experience.
Duties- Perform a variety of massage techniques tailored to individual client needs, including Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage.
- Assess clients' physical condition and discuss their health history to create personalized treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for clients before, during, and after sessions.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively when discussing client conditions with other healthcare professionals.
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding the benefits of different massage techniques and any contraindications.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
- Keep accurate records of client treatments and progress to ensure continuity of care.
- Valid state license or certification in massage therapy is required.
- Proficiency in medical terminology is preferred to enhance communication with clients and healthcare providers.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Previous experience in a customer service role is highly desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on industry trends and techniques.
