UHN seeks a Medical Device Reprocessor to ensure the highest standards of sterilization. Contribute to patient safety efforts at Toronto General Hospital in this pivotal role.
This position within UHN’s Medical Device Reprocessing Department involves performing sterilization and inventory management using cutting-edge techniques. You will be responsible for handling delicate equipment with care and adhering to safety protocols. Your expertise will directly impact UHN's reputation as a top research hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct sterilization procedures with precision and attention
• Manage inventory to ensure availability of essential instruments
• Update records for tracking and compliance
• Maintain the mobile Respiratory Therapy crash cart
• Perform cleaning and set-up operations as required
Requirements:
• Post-secondary certification in Sterile Supplies Processing Techniques
• One year of experience in a similar role
• Understanding of instrument technology and sterilization methods
• Proficient in processing equipment operation
• Must handle 6 kg to 10 kg lifts
