Part-Time MSW Social Worker in Addiction Care

Humber River Health is hiring a part-time Registered Social Worker, MSW to enhance its Chemical Dependency Program. Play a key role in assisting patients with complex mental health and addiction challenges.

In this critical role, you will provide comprehensive assessments, develop strategic treatment plans, and deliver individual and group therapy. Collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team, you will help improve patient outcomes in a progressive, fully digital hospital environment. There are opportunities to contribute to program development to better serve patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and devise treatment plans

• Offer individual/group psychotherapy and crisis intervention

• Network with community resources to aid patient recovery

• Work with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care

• Support all mental health and addictions program as needed

Requirements:

• Accredited Master of Social Work (MSW) required

• Two years of related clinical experience in mental health/addiction

• Membership with relevant Ontario professional organizations

• Experience with trauma-informed care necessary

• Strong skills in group facilitation and crisis management
