PHO Laboratory Attendant

Position: PHO Laboratory Attendant 2 Opportunity
Support vital laboratory functions at PHO Corporate Office in Toronto as a Laboratory Attendant
2. This full-time role focuses on technical services and specimen processing.

You will work closely with the Microbiology and Laboratory Science teams to manage laboratory samples from logging to result interpretation. Your expertise as a certified Medical Laboratory Technician will facilitate efficient handling and preparation of medical samples and enhance the research team's capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Log and label incoming laboratory specimens for testing

• Prepare media and reagents for microbial culture

• Operate and maintain laboratory analyzers

• Manage consistency and cleanliness in lab work areas

• Field inquiries about samples and assist with quality control

Requirements:

• Certification from a Medical Laboratory Technician program

• Knowledge of lab safety and terminology

• Experience with automated laboratory equipment

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Relevant training or experience in a laboratory setting
