Position: Public Health Supervisor - Temporary Role
Join the City of Toronto as a Public Health Supervisor focused on communicable diseases, where your leadership and expertise enhance community health initiatives. This full-time position is located at Metro Hall.

In this dynamic role, you will oversee the operations of the Communicable Disease Liaison Unit, supervising public health staff while ensuring compliance with health regulations. You will be responsible for training staff, developing project plans, and coordinating with stakeholders for effective public health action. Your position will also involve the direct evaluation of team performance to drive high standards of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage schedules and oversee staff workload and performance

• Develop and implement evidence-based public health policies

• Liaise with healthcare providers and community agencies for collaboration

• Maintain data systems for accurate disease monitoring

• Respond to public health emergencies and coordinate investigations

Requirements:

• Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent experience

• Strong background in public health case management

• Skillful use of health information systems and metrics

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings as needed

• A valid Ontario Class 'G' Driver's Licence is preferred
