Job Description

The Evaluation and Performance Measurement team supports Shkaabe Makwa in understanding, monitoring, and communicating the impact of its work. This includes supporting evaluation, performance measurement, data collection, data analysis, dashboard development, reporting, learning, and decision-making across programs and strategic priorities.
Shkaabe Makwa at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Analytics & Evaluation Lead for a full-time contract (12 months) position. Reporting directly to the Manager, Evaluation and Performance Measurement, the Analytics and Evaluation Leadwill contribute to the development and implementation of a Shkaabe Makwa-wide performance measurement system. This role will provide technical support for the development of data structures, dashboards, reporting tools, analytic processes, and performance measurement infrastructure needed to monitor, understand, and communicate the impact of Shkaabe Makwa’s work.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support the design and implementation of culturally responsive analytical approaches that are appropriate to Indigenous health contexts and aligned with Indigenous data governance principles. In addition, they will review and analyze clinical outcome data, service utilization data, and qualitative data. The Analytics & Evaluation Lead will play a key data integration role, conducting analyses of secondary and original data, and contributing to the conceptual design and planning of evaluation plans.
They will contribute to the coordination of work with partners, the development of dashboards, the analysis of data, and the integration of data at multiple levels. They will apply performance measurement and quality improvement approaches to analyze qualitative and quantitative data and support reporting, learning, and decision-making across Shkaabe Makwa. They will have an active interest in mental health and have worked with health care data, including assessment and clinical data.
This work will involve collaborating with partners, including staff, leadership, Indigenous partners, CAMH data teams, and program teams.
Responsibilities Will Include But Are Not Limited To
- Design and implement robust data analysis and collection processes, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and appropriate interpretation.
- Collaborate closely with Shkaabe Makwa Evaluation and Performance Measurement team to conduct monitoring and reporting activities, addressing emerging needs and challenges effectively.
- Utilize statistical software packages such as R, SAS, or Python to execute computer programs for data extraction, analysis, and visualization.
