Become a vital part of North York General as a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician. This role focuses on supporting pharmacy operations while engaging with healthcare professionals and enhancing patient experiences.
To be successful, you need to be a graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program, ideally with hospital pharmacy experience. Your work will support the academic mission of the hospital through quality care, teaching, and safety compliance. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a professional team are essential in this environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in daily pharmacy operations and services
• Follow safety and operational standards in pharmacy
• Collaborate effectively with inter-professional teams
• Prepare IV admixtures and perform necessary pharmacy duties
• Provide excellent communication with patients and staff
Requirements:
• Completion of a recognized Pharmacy Technician program
• Valid Part A Registered Pharmacy Technician designation
• Experience in hospital pharmacy preferred
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and pharmaceutical math
• Bilingual in French/English is advantageous
