Clinic Secretary - Full Time Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

Complete administrative tasks including chart preparation, scheduling appointments, organizing reports, and following up on referrals

Proficiently respond to patient phone calls and emails

Provide face to face patient support in our outpatient clinics

Assist nursing staff and physicians with triaging patient phone calls and appointments based on patients' needs

Support clinic flow by coordinating on-site and virtual appointments

Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives

The Requirements:

Outstanding customer Service skills are essential

Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an interprofessional team environment.

Minimum 2 years front-line outpatient experience is essential. Primary Care experience is an asset.

Previous experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) is required.

- Telus Practice Solutions (PSS) EMR is an asset.

Ability to collect and enter patient data accurately

Very strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities of phones, EMR administrative tasks, physician requests, and patients attending clinic.

Excellent written, verbal and electronic communication skills

Proficient in MS Office Suite and an aptitude for adapting to new software and IT systems

Sound knowledge of medical terminology

Demonstrated ability to adapt to face paced and changing work conditions
