Assertive Community Treatment Occupational Therapist

Become an integral part of the Assertive Community Treatment Team as an Occupational Therapist. Focus on rehabilitative support for clients experiencing severe mental illness.

In this role, you will provide client-centered therapy and case management to individuals facing persistent mental health challenges. Your recent experience in community settings will be essential, as will your understanding of the ACT model of Care. Demonstrating effective problem-solving and communication skills will enhance your contributions to this multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored rehabilitation and treatment to clients

• Manage cases in alignment with client-centered care principles

• Collaborate effectively with team members

• Communicate and document client interactions thoroughly

• Navigate healthcare systems and community resources adeptly

Requirements:

Minimum qualifications:

MSW,

B.Sc. OT, M. Sc. OT, or equivalent

• Active Ontario College membership

• Experience with severe and persistent mental illness

• Valid Ontario Driver’s License

• Ability to travel frequently throughout the area
