Personal Support Worker at UHN

Join UHN, Canada's top hospital, as a Personal Support Worker supporting patients in all areas of the Emergency Department and Senior Emergency Medicine Centre. You will engage in daily living activities, reporting safety concerns, and maintaining patient records while collaborating with experienced healthcare professionals. This part-time position offers up to 22.5 hours a week with varied shifts including days, evenings, and nights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with daily living activities and personal care

• Perform tasks assigned by registered nurses in compliance with standards

• Communicate basic information according to care plans

• Ensure a safe environment by reporting unsafe conditions

• Maintain patient records and progress notes as required

Requirements:

• Current registration with Health and Supportive Care Providers

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required

• Behavioral management training is an asset

• Ability to perform moderate physical exertion regularly

• Previous acute care or rehab experience preferred
