Cardiac Device Technologist at UHN

Based at Toronto General Hospital, this permanent full-time role focuses on the implantation of cardiac devices, analyzing intricate electrograms, and ensuring device functionality. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide world-class cardiovascular care. The position includes weekday shifts and emphasizes adherence to departmental protocols for safe patient management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in device implantation and laser lead extractions

• Assess lead positions in the OR and Cath Labs

• Troubleshoot arrhythmia reports and monitor batteries

• Comply with hospital policies for patient care

• Conduct routine visits and remote monitoring

Requirements:

• Completion of a 2-year Cardiac Technologist Diploma

• CSCT registration and familiarity with pacing practices

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S)

• Previous experience with PM/ICD/CRT algorithms

• Effective communication and multitasking skills
