Provide resident care at Age Care as a Personal Support Worker, using care plans, bedside techniques, and infection prevention practices. The work location is not specified.
This Personal Support Worker position supports residents in a care setting. You will observe residents, report findings, document care information, and help maintain a safe environment. The role also involves resident needs, sanitation, geriatric care, and staff learning activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide care according to established resident care plans
- Observe residents and report findings to immediate supervisors
- Document resident care information as directed
- Attend education sessions, meetings, and workshops
- Follow IPAC policies and procedures consistently
- Graduate of a Personal Support Worker certificate or diploma program
- Meet Ministry vocational standards for the position
- Meet National Association of Career Colleges standards
- Meet Ontario Community Support Association standards
- Know simple treatments, bedside care, sanitation, and geriatric needs
