Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist

Apply occupational therapy expertise to musculoskeletal and geriatric rehabilitation, using person-centred care to support patients preparing for community discharge.

The Occupational Therapist works within an interprofessional rehabilitation team and collaborates with a Physiotherapist. This clinician assesses occupational performance, develops care plans, educates patients and families, evaluates progress, and identifies supplementary assessments or referrals. The work includes fractures, joint replacement, and geriatric rehabilitation.

• Assess occupational performance, component skills, and environmental factors
• Develop care plans for rehabilitation patients
• Provide patient and family education
• Evaluate progress and identify supplementary referrals
• Participate in team meetings, rounds, and quality initiatives

• Recognized post-secondary Occupational Therapy program completion
• Current good-standing Ontario occupational therapist registration
• Minimum one year of relevant clinical experience
• Evidence-based occupational therapy and interprofessional care competence
• Strong judgment, communication, organization, and time management skills
