Working closely with finance, HR, and operational leaders, you will serve as a trusted payroll expert and people manager. This role blends hands‑on delivery with strategic oversight, offering the chance to influence systems, improve processes, and mentor a dedicated payroll team in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.

Your Responsibilities- You will lead end‑to‑end Canadian payroll operations for hourly and salaried employees using ADP WFN and Dayforce HCM.
- In this role, you will oversee payroll accounting activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and monthly accruals.
- You will ensure compliance with federal and provincial legislation, remittances, and year‑end reporting requirements.
- You will manage audits, government agency relationships, and internal controls related to payroll.
- You will coach and develop the payroll team, providing guidance on best practices and compliance.
- You will identify process improvement opportunities and support system enhancements and upgrades.
- 5+ years of progressive Canadian payroll management experience.
- Strong knowledge of federal and provincial payroll legislation and compliance.
- Solid accounting background with payroll reconciliations and general ledger exposure.
- Hands‑on experience with Dayforce HCM and ADP WFN, required.
- Experience working with large, multi‑site organizations.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
