Osler is seeking an Employment Services & Recruitment Coordinator to join our Legal Talent team. This position plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of associate employment services and coordinates full-cycle recruitment for associates, helping to attract, hire, and support legal professionals.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Administer a broad range of employment-related services for legal professionals, including contract renewals, secondments, transfers, status changes, leaves of absence, and departures.
  • Maintain and enhance talent management resources by updating national policies, procedures, templates, and checklists, while ensuring all materials on the firm's intranet remain accurate and current.
  • Coordinate the full-cycle recruitment process for associates, including candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management, and onboarding.
  • Maintain personnel records, databases, and distribution lists to ensure information is accurate, organized, and up to date.
  • Manage the National Advisor and Peer Mentor Program for associates across all offices, supporting integration, development, and engagement.
  • Plan and coordinate team-building initiatives, events, and programs designed to enhance collaboration and strengthen connections among legal professionals.
  • Administer the firm's annual Foundation Program for first-year associates, ensuring a positive onboarding and development experience.
  • Support the administration of mid-year and year-end performance review processes for legal professionals.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for legal professionals, responding to questions regarding employment matters, policies, and related programs.
  • Collaborate with legal professionals and Legal Talent teams across offices to address recruitment and employment-related matters and promote consistency in practices and processes.
  • Contribute to special projects and initiatives focused on enhancing the experience, engagement, and professional development of legal professionals.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities and projects as required to support the Legal Talent team and broader business objectives.

Position Requirements

Education and Experience

This position requires a post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related discipline with a minimum of one year of relevant experience ideally gained in professional services or a law firm. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
